On October 16th, the 9th New Energy Industry Brand Awards (GPBC) jointly organized by State Grid and State Energy Research Institute was successfully held. At the hydrogen industry sub conference of this conference, Ji Ling, the head of Trina Green Hydrogen market department, introduced in her keynote speech that since the establishment of Trina  Group's hydrogen energy business in 2021, relying on years of accumulation of smart light storage system technology, Trina Group has integrated hydrogen energy technology and proposed the development concept of integrated light storage hydrogen. Through continuous research and practical application of alkaline electrolysis cells, and extensive data simulation and calculation, it has been found that in order to explore the economic viability of green hydrogen, in addition to considering the cost and energy efficiency of the equipment itself, it is also necessary to consider its operation strategy, load scheduling, energy management, equipment utilization rate, etc. from the overall system level, in order to avoid wasting every kilowatt hour of electricity and comprehensively reduce hydrogen production costs.

According to our calculations, when the annual utilization hours of the equipment reach 4000 hours, the electricity cost is 0.15 yuan/kWh, and the equipment energy consumption is 4.3 kWh/Nm ³, the cost of green hydrogen is expected to reach below 10 yuan/kg, demonstrating strong market competitiveness. Trina  Group's simultaneous deployment of three major business areas, namely light, storage, and hydrogen, is based on a deep reflection on the future energy transformation and development. Through the integrated and coordinated development of light, storage, and hydrogen, it can not only absorb more new energy and abundant electricity, but also help the industrial sector deeply decarbonize.
